No adult is too old or too young for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab.
Cardiac rehabilitation is a supervised program that includes exercise, lifestyle changes, education and emotional support for people who have had a heart attack or bypass heart surgery, or other heart problems. Programs are medically supervised and individually designed to enhance your quality of life. Research shows that people who participate in cardiac rehab after a heart attack can reduce their risk of death from a heart attack.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is similar, in that it is a multi-disciplinary program of care for people with chronic respiratory impairment. Our program is individually designed to optimize your quality of life. Included is medical evaluation and management, setting your personal goals, exercise training and education on respiratory disease management.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab can assist you to reduce
symptoms, decrease disability, increase participation in physical and social activities, improve your overall quality of life, and help you maintain long-term benefits through changes in lifestyle.
